    Dear Parents,

    Greetings from Dr. Mar Theophilus School,

    I am pleased to inform you that we have almost reached the end of the academic year successfully. I thank you wholeheartedly for the exemplary support you have given us in our endeavours during the year 2017-18.

    We now look ahead to the New Scholastic year 2018-2019 with renewed enthusiasm and greater commitment with your patronage.

    Important dates:-

    Brief Vacation 1st March 2018 to 14th March 2018
    Open house for Pre-Primary to std IX (2017-18) (All outstanding payments should be cleared by 6th March 2018) 10th March 2018.

    Time 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

    New Academic session commences for Preschool to std X 15th March 2018
    Summer vacation 2nd May 2018 to 10th June 2018
    School reopens 11th June 2018

    Withdrawal: –   We request parents to inform us of any planned transfers / withdrawals before 8th March 2018 to help us expedite the clearance process. Any withdrawal after 8th March will be charged one month’s tuition fee before the birth certificate or TC is issued.

    Transfer Certificate (TC) on withdrawal is issued only after all the school dues are cleared by the parents/guardians.

    School Re-opening: –   The school will re-open on 15th March 2018, for the new academic year. Attendance on the first day is compulsory. On no account the student will be admitted to school, if he / she remains absent on the first day of the school (15.03.2018.) It is mandatory for students to be present in complete school uniform right from the first day.

    Summer Break: – The school closes for summer vacation on 28th April 2018. Students are advised to spend the summer holidays in creative activities like reading, attending summer camps and developing their talents or keeping themselves occupied with various hobbies of interest.

    The School Management will be strict with regard to discipline, behavior, etiquettes and manners of the students along with academics.

    Satchel: – Only haversack bags (16”) size and non-fancy standard pencil boxes will be allowed.

    Hair do: – Boys should carry themselves in short and smartly cut hair (No fashion haircuts allowed.) Girls should oil and plait their hair in two braids, with a black hair-band and ribbons and those with short hair should wear black hair-bands. Nails should be trimmed regularly and no nail paint will be allowed.

    Transport:-  The Management strongly recommends the authorized (R.T.O approved) and contractual transport services for the safety and security of your wards and the school management will not be responsible for any kind of mishaps (minor or major) outside the contracted transport. Parents of children using private vans / rickshaws should ensure that the drivers have proper Police Verification / Police Clearance Certificate.

    Parents’ Entry Pass :- Parents/Guardians are requested to carry and show their Escort cards at the School entrance gate when they come to collect their children from the school premises or at the pick and drop bus stops, failing which the child would not be handed over. They are also expected to carry the school Escort Card during every interaction with school / staffs. Parents will not be entertained without the escort pass. No parent is allowed to wait in the Reception/School Premises.

    All parents must carry parent I–Card. No entry will be permitted without the I–Card.  


    Please note parents who wish to see the Principal need to fix an appointment.

    Principal: 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (only if the Supervisor recommends)

    Office hours (Monday to Friday): 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Office will remain closed on Saturday.

    Teachers will meet the parents only on 1st and 3rd Saturday with prior appointment. (Time – 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.)


    Bonafide Certificate or Fee Certificate for Income tax:-

    Application submitted for the above certificates will take three working days for processing after the application is received.


    It is advised to keep back the student at home if he / she is suffering with viral infection, influenza or any other contagious diseases.


    All parents are requested to send the lunch box with their wards. There will be two breaks in a day namely; short break for 15 minutes and lunch break (20 minutes). For lunch break please send healthy, nutritious and filling lunch, which may include chapati/puri/paratha(Indian breads) with vegetables and salads. (Avoid junk food in lunch box)

    Kindly do not send your ward’s tiffin during school hours, it will not be accepted. Students should carry their tiffin with them in the morning only. In the interest of security and safety we strictly prohibit tiffin boxes to be handed to the security personnel. 

    General instructions


    • It has been observed over the years, that parents fail to keep a regular track of their child’s school calendar, instruction and notices, causing a lot of confusion and inconvenience to the school and students both. Please ensure that you read and follow the school calendar and the instructions therein.
    • No pupil is exempt from Games and Physical Training without a Medical Certificate. The period of exemption should be specified.
    • All students are expected to speak strictly in English within the School premises.

    School Timing

    The school is operative on alternate Saturdays from Std III onwards (First and Third Saturday) and attendance is compulsory. (Preschool to Std II will remain closed on Saturdays.)

    Pre- Primary: – 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

    Std I to Std X: – 7.25 a.m. to 2.15 p.m.

    Std III to Std X: – 7.25 a.m to 11.00 a.m. (First and Third Saturday)

    Winter Uniform:-  Girl students of std I to X should wear white stockings of good quality in winter and Pre-Primary black stockings. Please stick to the aesthetics of the uniform and don’t wear leggings.


    Blazers:-  Blazers are compulsory from Std 5th to 10th, they will be available with the same uniform vendor. Promoted students to 5th must go to the vendor to give the measurements on dates mentioned above. School uniform, with blazers, must be worn on Monday and Wednesday. House colours on MPT days for Std I to IV – Thursday and V to X – Friday.

    Payment of fees:-


    The fourth installment fees (For existing students only) of Rs. 6300 for Pre-Primary and Rs. 6450 for Primary and Secondary Section should be paid before 06th March 2018.

    1. Those who have an account in The Union Bank of India (Vishrantwadi branch) can make the payment between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm through a cheque with the entry made in the fee receipt book that will be stamped by the bank authorities. Parents should collect the submitted fee book between 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm on the same day.
    2. Those having an account in other banks should make the transaction via online/ RTGS/ NEFT and submit the print of the payment made with the child’s name to the class teacher.
    3. Cash transactions will not be accepted by the bank.
